A combination of modern music and poetry created by poet Jozef van Rossum and the New Rotterdam Clarinetquartet. On the basis of an improvised scenario both disciplines took turns, con- and diverging. The clarinetquartet performed music by Wiliam Byrd, Tristan Keuris, Ton de Leeuw, Arend Niks and Igor Strawinsky. Van Rossum recited his own texts. He mainly selected poetical reflections on everyday life, for instance: "How far does the Opel Kadett drive in poetry?" The collision of these two disciplines and the resulting collaboration originates from the Rotterdam literature magazine TORTUCA. The musicians of the New Rotterdam Clarinetquartet are: Coen Wolfgram, Rob Streevelaar, Louis Sloot and Joost van Berkel.
